Main bedroom on ground floor with zip/link twin beds and ceiling hoist track (portable hoist). The hoist in this bedroom will lift a maximum weight of 130kg (20 stone).

In the restored manse courtyard of historic Crathie Kirk on the banks of the River Dee there are now four very special self catering holiday cottages. Here, disabled people - and their families and friends alike - can enjoy the most relaxing of holidays in wonderful surroundings.
Each cottage has been carefully designed and equipped to ensure that both access and furnishings are suitable for the independent wheelchair traveller. Other aspects of design will take into account the different needs of holiday guests with varying abilities.
Staff, together with volunteers from the community, will be able to offer additional services to assist holiday guests in practical ways if required.
Each cottage comprises of:-
Open plan living /dining area
Underfloor heating throughout
Fully accessible kitchen with fridge, hob, oven, microwave
Bathroom with wheel in shower area, fold down shower seat, adjustable handbasin / mirror and closomat shower toilet
Hoist in each main bedroom
Sky television and video player
Radio / CD / cassette player
Other facilities within the complex include :-
Parking space for loading / unloading only outside each cottage with further space for permanent parking
Laundry with washing machines, tumble dryers, deep freeze, irons and ironing boards
Garden room with glazed patio doors for lazy days
Gas barbecue and gardens chairs for use on riverside patio
Audio visual library containing films, talking books and large print books
Additional toilet
Games store with board games, cards etc
Recycling bins for glass and cardboard
