Gellifawr Hotel and Cottages are located in the beautiful Gwaun Valley about four miles from the coast and beaches at Newport Sands. The area in which they are situated is designated a site of special scientific interest. The 8 cottages, also recently restored, are all double glazed and centrally heated with modern kitchens. They have excellent bathrooms with power showers and offer all the comforts of home. Gellifawr is an ideal location for disabled visitors. We have ample parking space, within easy reach of the cottages and hotel. Dove Cottage has been equipped with wheelchair access in mind and has been awarded category 1 accessibility grading. The specially built kitchen and the fitted 'wet' bathroom have been designed specifically with wheelchair use in mind. It has 3 bedrooms, a twin and two doubles, a bathroom with power shower, well fitted kitchen and living area combined, a TV, microwave, oven and hob. The restaurant is also easy to access for wheelchairs, and there are disabled toilet facilities available. And it serves excellent food! We have varied menus serving a la carte meals and lighter snacks. Our fine hand-crafted and well stocked bar is also fully accessible. The mixture of traditional stone and wood together with a log burning fire and friendly staff all conspire to give you a warm welcome and ensure an enjoyable visit.
