The lake is a welcoming welsh country house set in it's own 50 acres, with sweeping lawns, rhododendron lined pathways, and miles of romantic riverside walks. Situated in the peaceful heart of mid-Wales, this is a place for complete relaxation and contemplation, and is a world away from the everyday. The lake hotel was constructed in the 1860's as a hunting and fishing lodge, and has epitomised calm and comfort ever since. In the richly furnished lounges, fine antiques, beautiful paintings and sumptuous sofas, beside log fires, combine to make visitors feel like guests in a welsh country home. Each of the supremely comfortable bedrooms has its own charm and character, with elegant fabrics, period furniture, pictures and books. Every room has a private bathroom, direct dial telephone, television, and an extremely homely feel. The suites have beautifully appointed sitting rooms, and are furnished with the thoughtful attention to detail seen throughout the house. The Lake Country House has been awarded the National Accessible Accommodation Standard Category 3 and is considered to be suitable for someone with limited mobility but able to walk a few paces and up to a maximum of 3 steps.
