Owl Barn Cottage is our second disabled-friendly barn conversion. It is situated on a working farm of approx. 600 acres in W. Norfolk. Approximately 5 miles from Sandringham and 7 miles from the nearest beach at Hunstanton or Brancaster. It is in an area of natural beauty but a car is essential.
Like Stable Cottage it has been thoughtfully converted with ample space for wheelchairs. Fully centrally heated it comprises of a large comfortable lounge with TV/video, The kitchen /dining area has a low-level hob unit and a mixture of low-level/normal height units. There is a washing machine/tumble drier and a freezer. The kitchen is light and spacious and opens out onto an attractive paved patio area with raised flowerbeds. On the ground floor is a twin bedded room with a flat entry, en suite roll-in shower room (shower seat / grab rails) toilet & hand basin. All ground floor doors are wide enough for wheelchairs and sockets/switches are at an easy to reach height. Upstairs there are 2 further bedrooms, both with ensuite shower rooms. There is a second sitting area with TV and double futon. The beds are made up with duvets and all linens and towels are provided. Dogs and smokers welcome. Cot and high chair available. Please book in advance. Available from 4pm Saturday until 12 noon on the following Saturday. The cottage has it's own private garden and privacy.
We plan to open The Crew Yard & The North Box (sleeps 4)& The Old Cart Shed (6/8 at the end of May 2004).
